Established back in 1972 Brookfield Country Club opened to rave reviews and consequently was awarded an LPGA Tour Event throughout the seventies. In 2000 Mike Riley formerly of Jack Nicklaus Course Design was contracted for a complete reconstruction and redesign. This massive golf course project upgraded Brookfield Country Club to today’s standards and specifications.
Landscape Unlimited, the nation’s leading golf course construction firm was contracted for the renovation project. Brookfield Country Club Owners and Mike Riley set out on a plan that included all new greens, state of the art irrigation system, new bunkers and tees. Additionally the golf course was reshaped so that it could be more playable for the members and guests. Playing at over 6900 from the back tees the golf course is challenging for the best players yet fair and fun for the entire membership. Known for its outstanding greens Brookfield is always a place in which the best players look forward to tee it up.
Prior to the reconstruction 9 Time Major Champion, Gary Player set the course record shooting an 11 under par 61. The record still stands today!
